Dad's gift
(Jake가 12살 생일파티를 하고 있다. 아빠의 선물을 뜯어본다.)
(Jake is having his 12th birthday party. He is opening his father's gift.)
Kenneth: 여기 선물이야 Jake.
Kenneth: Here is your gift Jake.
Jake: 고맙습니다 아빠!
Jake: Thanks dad!
(Jake가 선물을 뜯어본다)
(Jake opens his gift.)
Jake: 와, CD다! 너무 좋아요.
Jake: Oh, CDs! Great.
(Jake가 CD를 보고 갸우뚱한다.)
(Jake looks at the CDs confused.)
Jake: Marvin Gaye가 누구예요? Janis Joplin이란 이름도 들어본 적이 없어요.
Jake: Who is Marvin Gaye? Never heard of Janis Joplin either!
Kenneth: 진짜 음악을 들어보라고.
Kenneth: I wanted you to listen to real music!
Jake: 오, 그런데 이 가수들은 한번도 들어본 적이 없어요. "The Doors"가 누구예요? 이름도 이상해요!
Jake: Oh, but I never heard of these singers. Who are "The Doors"? What a strange name!
Kenneth: 진짜. 요즘 애들은 진짜 음악이 뭔지도 모른다니까!
Kenneth: Oh dear. Today's youth has no idea of good music!
(일주일 후에...)
(One week later..)
Jake: 아빠, 아빠가 주신 CD 정말 좋아요!
Jake: Dad, your CDs are great!
Kenneth: 너가 좋아할 줄 알았어!
Kenneth: I knew you would like them!
Jake: 네. Janis Joplin 너무 좋아요! 콘서트에 갈 수 있어요?
Jake: Yes. I like Janis Joplin! Can we go to her concert?
Kenneth: 오, 그 가수는 살아 있지 않아.
Kenneth: Oh, I'm afraid she isn't alive anymore.
Jake: 아, 그렇구나. 그럼 Marvin Gaye 콘서트에 가요.
Jake: Oh, pity. Then let's go to a Marvin Gaye concert.
Kenneth: 그 사람도 죽었어.
Kenneth: He's dead too.
Jake: "The Doors"는요?
Jake: What about "The Doors"?
Kenneth: 그 가수도 죽었어. 내가 너무 늙었나 보다. 그냥 다시 가서 Justin Bieber 들어.
Kenneth: The singer died too. Now I feel really old. Maybe go and listen to Justin Bieber again.
Jake: 네 그래야겠어요. 하하!
Jake: Maybe yes. Haha!
