보이 스카우트 한 명이 모임에 30분이나 늦었다.
A boy scout was half an hour late for a meeting.
그의 친구가 물었다: "왜 이렇게 늦었어?"
His friend asked: "Why are you so late?"
"노인분이 길을 건너시는 것을 도와드리느라.", 그가 대답했다.
"I was helping an old man cross the street.", he answered.
"좋은 일 했네", 그의 친구가 말했다. "그런데 그것때문에 30분이나 늦었어?"
"That's a nice thing to do," said his friend. "But half an hour late because of that?"
"아니, 그 노인분이 가고 싶어하지 않으셔서 그랬지.", 그가 대답했다.
"Well, the problem was he didn't want to go," he answered.
