「佳代と会うのはどうだった？」
"How did your meeting go with Kayo?"
「ああ、また会えてよかったよ。」
"Oh, it was nice seeing her again."
「どんな様子だった？」
"How is she?"
「血栓症になったんだって。」
"Apparently she has had a thrombosis."
「本当？ 深刻そうね。」
"Really? Sounds serious!"
「うん、命に関わることもあるらしいよ！」
"Yes, I heard it can be life-threatening!"
「私、症状さえも知らないわ。」
"I wouldn't even know the symptoms."
「彼女も症状を知らなかったけど、偶然血栓症についての記事を読んだところだったらしいよ。」
"She didn't know the symptoms either, but coincidentally she was just reading an article about it."
「幸運だったね！」
"How lucky!"
「うん、たぶんそれで命拾いしたんだよ！」
"Yes, maybe that saved her life!"
「で、どういう症状なの？」
"So what are the symptoms?"
「ふくらはぎが痛むらしいよ。時々腫れることもあるって。」
"Pain in the calf. Sometimes it can swell up."
