茂は叔父に自分の理想の仕事について話している。
Shigeru talks to his uncle about his dream job.
義一： 元気か？
Yoshikazu: How are you?
茂： うん、もうすぐ大学卒業だよ。
Shigeru: Yes, I'm almost finished with college.
義一： 卒業後はどうするんだい？
Yoshikazu: What will you do afterwards?
茂： 僕の夢はコンピュータ・ゲームの開発なんだ。
Shigeru: My dream is to develop computer games.
義一： それは楽しそうだな。一日中遊んでお金がもらえるんだものな。
Yoshikazu: That must be fun. Earn money and play all day.
茂： そのとおり！ すごくストレスが多いこともあるって聞いたけどね。友達が一人、ビデオゲームの会社で働いてるんだ。1日12時間労働もよくあるみたいだよ。
Shigeru: Exactly! However I heard it can be very stressful. One of my friends works in a video game company. It seems he often works 12 hours a day.
義一： そりゃひどいな！ お前も僕みたいに公務員になったほうがいいよ。
Yoshikazu: Oh dear! You should become a civil servant like me!
茂： それは遠慮しとくよ！ 僕には退屈すぎるだろうからね！
Shigeru: No thanks! That would be too boring for me!
義一： それか、自分のビデオゲーム会社を設立して、他人を一生懸命働かせるか、だな！
Yoshikazu: Or set up your own video game company and let others work hard!
茂： それが僕のプランだよ。でも、まず経験を積まなくちゃね。
Shigeru: That's my plan. But I have to gain experience first.
義一： うまくいくことを祈ってるよ！
Yoshikazu: I hope everything will go well!
茂： ありがとう！
Shigeru: Thanks!
