Hanako: Hello Marina. How was your trip to Russia?

真理奈：　あんまり良くなかったわ！

Marina: Not so good!

花子：　え、何があったの？

Hanako: Oh, what happened?

真理奈：　父がカナダに来るのを嫌がってるのよ。

Marina: My father refuses to come to Canada with me.

花子：　あらまあ。それはどうして？

Hanako: Oh dear. Why?

---

真理奈：　まだ準備ができてないって言うのよ。でも父は、自分の身の回りの世話がもうほとんどできないんだけど。

Marina: He says he isn't ready yet. But he is hardly able to take care of himself.

花子：　お父さんはおいくつ？

Hanako: How old is he?

---

真理奈：　86歳よ。

Marina: 86 years.

---

花子：　ロシアの老人ホームには入れないの？

Hanako: Can't he go to a nursing home in Russia?

---

真理奈：　ロシアにはそういうものがないのよ。

Marina: No such thing in Russia.

---

花子：　じゃあ、これからどうするの？

Hanako: So what are you going to do now?

---

真理奈：　私がロシアに戻らなくちゃいけないかもしれないわ。

Marina: I might have to go back to Russia.

---

花子：　それはご主人が嫌がるでしょうね！

Hanako: Your husband won't like that!

---

真理奈：　私もよ！　カナダに住むほうがいいわ！

Marina: Neither do I! I prefer to live in Canada!
