Move to the Bermudas
Robert: Ciao, Wilma! Come stai? Ho sentito che ti trasferisci alle Bermuda.
Robert: Hi Wilma! How are you? I heard you are moving to the Bermudas?
Wilma: Ciao, Robert. Sì, è vero.
Wilma: Hi Robert. Yes, it is true.
Robert: Ma ti sei appena trasferita a Londra!
Robert: But you just moved to London!
Wilma: Sì, lo so!
Wilma: Yes I know!
Robert: Allora, perché le Bermuda?
Robert: So why the Bermudas?
Wilma: Dobbiamo andare lì a causa della ditta di mio marito.
Wilma: We have to go there because of my husband's company.
Robert: Capisco. Tuo marito lavora ancora per quella compagnia di assicurazioni?
Robert: I see. Your husband still works in that insurance company?
Wilma: Sì.
Wilma: Yes.
Robert: Sei già stata alle Bermuda?
Robert: Have you been to the Bermudas before?
Wilma: Sì. È bellissimo lì.
Wilma: Yes. It is very beautiful there.
Robert: Immagino. Ma un'isola cosi' piccola probabilmente diventa noiosa dopo un po'.
Robert: I can imagine. But such a small island probably gets boring after a while.
Wilma: Forse. Comunque non penso che potremo stare più di 2 o 3 anni.
Wilma: Maybe yes. But I don't think we are allowed to stay more than 2 or 3 years anyway.
Robert: Le Bermuda sono un paradiso fiscale, vero? Immagino che la ditta di tuo marito voglia risparmiare sulle tasse.
Robert: The Bermudas are a tax haven right? I guess your husband's company wants to save taxes.
Wilma: Sembrerebbe di sì.
Wilma: It seems so yes.
Robert: Nessuna delle grandi aziende vuole pagare le tasse qui! Non stupisce che il nostro paese sia tanto indebitato!
Robert: None of the big companies want to pay taxes here. No wonder our country is so indebted!
Wilma: Sì, purtroppo! Adesso devo andare. Appuntamento dal dentista!
Wilma: Yes, unfortunately! I have to go now. Dentist appointment!
Robert: Va bene, ciao! Salutami tuo marito!
Robert: Okay bye! Say hello to your husband!
Wilma: Lo farò! Ciao!
Wilma: I will! Bye!
