The atheist
Una giovane donna tornò a casa con l'aria triste.
A young woman came home looking sad.
Disse a sua madre, "Oggi Paul mi ha chiesto di sposarlo."
She told her mother, "Paul proposed to me today."
"E allora perché sei così triste?", chiese la madre.
"Then why are you so sad?" her mother asked.
"Perché mi ha anche detto di essere ateo. Mamma, non crede che esista l'inferno!"
"Because he also mentioned he was an atheist. Mom, he doesn't believe there's hell!"
Sua madre le rispose, "Sposalo lo stesso! Insieme gli dimostreremo che si sbaglia!"
Her mother replied, "Marry him anyway! Together we'll show him how wrong he is!"
