The present indicative of the verbs of the 2nd conjugation

The present indicative is used to describe habitual actions, basic truths or an action / state of being which occurs right when we are talking or writing about it.
 
The verbs ending in -ere (2nd conjugation) in the present tense add the following endings to the verb stem: -o, -i, -e, -iamo, -ete, -ono.
 
—> Correre / to run —> corr-ere.
 
Present indicative:
 
- Io corro. (I run.)
- Tu corri. (You run.)
- Egli / Ella / Esso / Essa corre. (He / she / it runs.)
- Noi corriamo. (We run.)
- Voi correte. (You run.)
- Essi / esse corrono. (they run.)
 
Examples:

- Martino corre da Giulia. (Martino runs to Giulia.)
- Noi non corriamo mai per prendere il treno. (We never run to catch the train.)
- Martino e Giulia corrono in ufficio. (Martino and Giulia rush to their office.)
