(Jake feiert seinen 12. Geburtstag. Er öffnet das Geschenk von seinem Vater.)

Kenneth: Hier ist dein Geschenk Jake.
Kenneth: Here is your gift Jake.
Jake: Danke Papa!
Jake: Thanks dad!
(Jake öffnet sein Geschenk.)
(Jake opens his gift.)
Jake: Oh, CDs. Super!
Jake: Oh, CDs. Great!
(Jake schaut verwirrt auf die CDs.)
(Jake looks at the CDs confused.)
Jake: Wer ist Marvin Gaye? Von Janis Joplin habe ich auch noch nie gehört.
Jake: Who is Marvin Gaye? Never heard of Janis Joplin either!
Kenneth: Sohnemann, ich wollte, dass du mal richtige Musik hörst!
Kenneth: Son, I wanted you to listen to real music!
Jake: Oh, aber ich habe noch nie von diesen Bands gehört. Wer sind "The Doors"? Was für ein seltsamer Name!
Jake: Oh, but I never heard of these artists. Who are "The Doors"? What a strange name!
Kenneth: Oje! Die heutige Jugend hat keine Ahnung von guter Musik!
Kenneth: Oh dear! Today's youth has no idea of good music!
(Eine Woche später..)
(One week later..)
Jake: Papa, deine CDs sind toll!
Jake: Dad, your CDs are great!
Kenneth: Ich wusste, dass du sie magst!
Kenneth: I knew you would like them!
Jake: Ich mag Janis Joplin! Können wir auf ihr Konzert gehen?
Jake: I like Janis Joplin! Can we go to her concert?
Kenneth: Oh, leider lebt sie nicht mehr.
Kenneth: Oh, I'm afraid she isn't alive anymore.
Jake: Oh, schade. Dann lass uns auf ein Marvin Gaye Konzert gehen.
Jake: Oh, pity. Then let's go to a Marvin Gaye concert.
Kenneth: Er ist auch schon tot.
Kenneth: He's dead too.
Jake: Und die "Doors"?
Jake: What about "The Doors"?
Kenneth: Der Sänger ist auch schon gestorben. Jetzt fühle ich mich richtig alt. Vielleicht solltest du wieder Justin Bieber hören.
Kenneth: The singer died too. Now I feel really old. Maybe go and listen to Justin Bieber again.
Jake: Vielleicht ja!
Jake: Yes, maybe!
