Jack: Hi Sally! Hast du die Nachrichten gesehen, es gab ein riesiges Erdbeben in Japan.

Jack: Hi Sally! Did you see the news, there was a huge earthquake in Japan.
Sally: Wirklich? Ich habe heute noch nicht das Radio oder Fernsehen eingeschaltet.

Sally: Really? Haven't switched on the radio or TV today.
Jack: Es war das größte jemals registrierte Erdbeben in Japan! Es hat einen riesigen Tsunami ausgelöst!

Jack: It was the biggest earthquake ever recorded in Japan! It triggered a huge tsunami!
Sally: Oh mein Gott! Mein Bruder ist momentan in Japan.

Sally: Oh my god! My brother is in Japan at the moment.
Jack: Wo ist er?

Jack: Where is he?
Sally: Er ist in Tagawa im Süden von Japan.

Sally: He is in Tagawa in the South of Japan.
Jack: Das Beben war im Norden, in der Nähe von Sendai.

Jack: The quake was in the North, near Sendai.
Sally: Oh ich hoffe er ist ok! Ich muss ihn gleich anrufen! Tschüss!

Sally: Oh I hope he is OK! I need to call him right now! Bye!
Jack: Ok, tschüss!

Jack: OK, bye!
