Eine Dame sagt, "Wisst ihr, ich bin richtig vergesslich geworden. Heute Morgen stand ich auf der Treppe und ich konnte mich nicht erinnern, ob ich gerade hochgegangen bin oder ob ich dabei war herunter zu gehen.
One lady says, "You know, I'm getting really forgetful. This morning, I was standing at the top of the stairs, and I couldn't remember whether I had just come up or was about to go down."
Der zweite Dame sagt, "Du glaubst das ist schlimm? Neulich saß ich am Bettrand und ich konnte mich nicht erinnern, ob ich gerade schlafen gegangen bin, oder ob ich gerade aufgewacht bin!"
The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or had just woken up!"
Die dritte Dame grinst selbstgefällig.
The third lady smiles smugly.
"Tja, mein Gedächtnis ist so gut wie es immer war, Toi-toi-toi", sagt sie als sie auf den Tisch klopft.
"Well, my memory is just as good as it's always been, knock on wood," she says as she raps on the table.
Dann mit einem erschrockenen Gesichtsausdruck, fragt sie, "Wer ist da?"
Then with a startled look on her face, she asks, "Who's there?"
