Peter and the bartender

Eines Abends ging Peter traurig in eine Kneipe.

One night Peter walked into a pub, looking very sad.

Barkeeper: Was möchtest du heute trinken?

Bartender: What would you like to drink today?

Peter: Nur eine Flasche Bier.

Peter: Just a bottle of beer.

Barkeeper: Was ist los? Warum bist du heute so traurig?

Bartender: What's wrong? Why are you so sad today?

Peter: Meine Frau und ich haben uns gestritten, und sie sagte, dass sie einen Monat lang nicht mehr mit mir reden werde.

Peter: My wife and I got into a fight, and she said she wouldn't talk to me for a month.

Barkeeper: Das ist super, oder?

Bartender: That's great, isn't it?

---

Peter: Ja! Aber heute ist der letzte Tag des Monats!

Peter: Yeah! But today is the last day of the month!
