I'm a light bulb
Zwei Arbeitskollegen sprechen miteinander im Büro:
Two co-workers are talking at the office:
Sagt die Frau, "Wetten, dass ich den Chef dazu bringe, mir den Rest des Tages freizugeben."
The woman says, "I bet that I can convince the boss to give me the rest of the day off."
Antwortet der Mann, "Ach wirklich? Und wie würdest du das machen?"
The man replies, "Oh, really? And how would you do that?"
Sagt die Frau, "Abwarten! Schau mir einfach zu." Sie hängt sich dann mit dem Kopf nach unten von der Decke.
The woman says, "Just wait and see." She then hangs upside-down from the ceiling.
Der Chef kommt herein und sagt, "Was machst du da?"
The boss comes in and says, "What are you doing?"
Die Frau antwortet, "Ich bin eine Glühbirne."
The woman replies, "I'm a light bulb."
Darauf sagt der Chef, "Du hast zuviel gearbeitet, ich glaube du bist verrückt geworden! Du musst dir den Rest des Tages freinehmen."
The boss then says, "You've been working too much, I think you've gone crazy! You need to take the day off."
Die Frau verlässt das Büro und der Mann nimmt seine Sachen und folgt ihr, als der Chef sagt, "Wohin gehst du?"
The woman leaves the office and the man picks his things up and starts following her when the boss says, "Where are you going?"
Sagt der Mann, "Ich gehe auch nach Hause. Ich kann nicht im Dunkeln arbeiten."
The man says, "I'm going home, too. I can't work in the dark."
