Emma: "Hi Jack! How are you?"

Jack : "Salut, Emma ! Je vais bien, mais ma femme déprime un peu depuis qu'elle a perdu le bébé."

Jack: "Hi Emma! I'm fine, but my wife is a bit down since she lost the baby."

Emma : "Elle était enceinte de combien de semaines ?"

Emma: "How many weeks was she pregnant?"

Jack : "Huit semaines. Puis le cœur a arrêté de battre."

Jack: "Eight weeks. Then the heart just stopped beating."

Emma : "Oh, c'est très triste. Achète-lui des fleurs pour lui remonter le moral !"

Emma: "Oh, sad really. Buy her flowers to cheer her up!"

Jack : "Oh, ce n'est pas le genre de femme à aimer les fleurs."

Jack: "Oh, she's not the sort of woman who likes flowers."

Emma : "Achète-lui des fleurs !"

Emma: "Buy her flowers!"

Un jour plus tard. Jack rencontre Emma dans le couloir au travail.

One day later. Jack meets Emma in the corridor at work.

Jack : "Ça a marché !"

Jack: "It worked!"

Emma sourit et dit : "Tu vois !"
