Three old ladies
Trois vieilles dames sont assises dans un restaurant et parlent de leur santé.

Une dame dit : "Vous savez, je deviens très distraite. Ce matin, j'étais en haut des escaliers, et je ne me rappelais pas si je venais de monter ou si j'allais descendre."
One lady says, "You know, I'm getting really forgetful. This morning, I was standing at the top of the stairs, and I couldn't remember whether I had just come up or was about to go down."
La deuxième dame dit : "Tu crois que c'est grave ? L'autre jour, j'étais assise au bord de mon lit, et je ne me rappelais pas si j'allais dormir ou si je venais de me réveiller !"
The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or had just woken up!"
La troisième dame sourit d'un air suffisant.
The third lady smiles smugly.
"Eh bien, ma mémoire fonctionne toujours aussi bien, je touche du bois", dit-elle en cognant sur la table.
"Well, my memory is just as good as it's always been, knock on wood," she says as she raps on the table.
Puis, avec un air surpris, elle demande : "Qui est là ?"
Then with a startled look on her face, she asks, "Who's there?"
