The ankle injury
Mary : Comment vas-tu, Peter ? Pourquoi boites-tu ?
Mary: How are you, Peter? Why are you limping?
Peter : Salut, Mary ! Je me suis blessé à la cheville en jouant au badminton.
Peter: Hi Mary! I injured my ankle while I was playing badminton.
Mary : Mon Dieu ! Ça a dû faire mal !
Mary: Oh dear! That must have hurt!
Peter : Oui, et elle a beaucoup enflé.
Peter: Yes, and it swelled up badly.
Mary : J'ai failli me casser la cheville sur un trampoline !
Mary: I nearly broke my ankle on a trampoline!
Peter : Oui, ça arrive souvent avec les trampolines. Je me suis aussi foulé la cheville sur un trampoline, une fois. As-tu eu besoin d'une opération ?
Peter: Yes, that happens often with trampolines. I also sprained my ankle on a trampoline once. Did you need surgery?
Mary : Non, mais je ne peux plus porter de talons hauts. Il semble qu'elle n'ait jamais guéri correctement. Mais c'est ma faute. Je suis trop lourde pour faire du trampoline.
Mary: No, but I can't wear high heels anymore. It seems it never healed up properly. But it was my fault. I'm too heavy for trampolining!
Peter : Je vois. Fais-tu du sport ?
Peter: I see. Do you do sports?
Mary : Pas vraiment.
Mary: Not really.
Peter : Aimerais-tu jouer au badminton avec nous ? Nous jouons tous les lundis.
Peter: Would you like to play badminton with us? We play every Monday.
Mary : J'adorerais ça !
Mary: I would love to!
Peter : Bien, super ! Nous jouons de 15 h à 17 h au "Finsbury Leisure Centre".
Peter: OK great! We play from 3 to 5pm at the "Finsbury Leisure Centre".
Mary : Bien, d'accord ! Je pourrai vous emprunter une raquette ?
Mary: OK got it! Could I borrow a racket from you?
Peter : Bien sûr ! Nous en avons beaucoup. À lundi !
Peter: Sure! We have plenty. See you then!
Mary : Salut !
