Fiona : Quel est ton métier ?
Fiona: What is your occupation?
Jack : Je suis agent de police.
Jack: I'm a police officer.
Fiona : C'est vrai ? Ce doit être passionnant !
Fiona: Really? That must be exciting!
Jack : Pas toujours. Il y a beaucoup de travail administratif.
Jack: Not always. There is a lot of paperwork to do.
Fiona : Depuis combien de temps es-tu agent de police ?
Fiona: How long have you been a police officer?
Jack : Plus de 20 ans.
Jack: More than 20 years.
Fiona : Ça fait longtemps. Est-ce que ton travail t'a changé personnellement ?
Fiona: That's a long time. Has your job changed you personally?
Jack : Oui. Je ne bois d'alcool qu'avec modération maintenant, parce que j'ai vu que ça a détruit la vie de beaucoup de gens.
Jack: Yes. I only drink alcohol in moderation now, because I've seen how many people's lives have been destroyed because of it.
Fiona : C'est vrai ?
Fiona: Really?
Jack : Oui, malheureusement ! On pourrait sans doute réduire la police de moitié, s'il n'y avait pas l'alcool.
Jack: Yes, unfortunately! You probably could cut the police force by half if it weren't for alcohol.
Fiona : Je suppose que je vais prendre un Mojito sans alcool, alors !
Fiona: I guess I'll get the non-alcoholic Mojito then!
Jack : C'est une bonne décision !
Jack: Good decision!
