Adriana: "Er is een nieuw Thais restaurant in het centrum. Zullen we daar vanavond naar toe gaan?"

Adriana: There is a new Thai restaurant in the city centre. Should we go there tonight?

Jacob: "Hmm.. ik weet het niet. Ik houd niet van gekruid eten."

Jacob: Hmm.. not sure. I don't like spicy food.

Adriana: "De vrouw van mijn baas komt uit Thailand. Ze zegt dat het erg goed is. De kok komt uit Bangkok, dus het menu is echt Thais."

Adriana: The wife of my boss is Thai. She said it's really good. The chef is from Bangkok, so the dishes are very authentic.

Jacob: "Klinkt goed. Ik vind Pad Thai erg lekker. Dan bestel ik dat. Meestal is dat niet te heet."

Jacob: Sounds good. I love "Pad Thai". I'll order that. Normally that is not too spicy.

Adriana: "Ik neem 'Tom kha gai'."

Adriana: I'll go for "Tom kha gai".

Jacob: "Wat is dat?"

Jacob: What is that?

---

Adriana: "Een soep met kokosmelk, citroengras en kip."

Adriana: A soup made with coconut milk, lemongrass and chicken.

Jacob: "Dat neem ik ook!"

Jacob: I want that too!

---

Adriana: "Te heet voor jou!"

Adriana: Too spicy for you!

Jacob: "Oh, okay. Laat maar."

Jacob: Oh, OK. Nevermind.
