The old lady

Een klein jongetje vraagt zijn vader een euro voor een oude vrouw in het park.

A little boy asks his father for an euro for an old lady in the park.

Zijn vader is onder de indruk van de vriendelijkheid van zijn zoon en geeft hem een euro.

His father is impressed by his son's kindness and gives him an euro.

" Alsjeblieft zoon", zegt de vader.

"There you are my son," says the father.

"Zeg eens, kan die oude vrouw niet meer werken?"

"Tell me, isn't the old lady able to work any more?"

"Ze verkoopt snoep", antwoordt zijn zoon.

"She sells candy," replies his son.
