Violent computer games
Man: "John zegt dat hij van jou geen computerspelletjes mag spelen."
Husband: John said you won't let him play computer games?
Vrouw: "Dat is niet waar. Ik wil alleen dat hij geen gewelddadige computerspelletjes speelt."
Wife: That's not true. I just don't want him to play those violent computer games.
Man: "Over welk spelletje heb je het?"
Husband: What game are you talking about?
Vrouw: "Ik geloof dat het 'Call of Duty' heet."
Wife: I think it's called "Call of Duty".
Man: "Oh, oké. Ik heb ook veel spelletjes gespeeld toen ik jong was."
Husband: I see. Then again I played a lot too when I was young.
Vrouw: "Maar de spelletjes zijn tegenwoordig veel realistischer!"
Wife: But games these days are much more realistic!
Man: "Dat is helemaal waar. Maar het heeft geen zin om het hem te verbieden. Dan gaat hij naar Walter om daar te spelen."
Husband: That's quite true. But there is no point in forbidding him to do that. He only goes to Walter and plays there.
Vrouw: "Wat moeten we dan doen?"
Wife: So what should we do then?
Man: "Ik zal hem zeggen dat hij maar een uur per dag mag spelen en alleen zolang hij goede cijfers haalt op school."
Husband: I'll tell him he can only play one hour per day and only as long as he gets good grades in school.
Vrouw: "Goed idee!"
Wife: Good idea!
