The concert
Eric: "Hallo Albert. Hoe gaat het?"
Eric: Hi Albert. How are you?
Albert: "Goed. Ik ben net met mijn vrouw naar een concert geweest."
Albert: Great. I've just been to a concert with my wife.
Eric: "Van wie?"
Eric: Whose concert?
Albert: "Laura Cantrell. Een countryzangeres."
Albert: Laura Cantrell. A country singer.
Eric: "Country? Ik dacht dat je van heavy metal hield?"
Eric: Country? I thought you like heavy metal?
Albert: "Oh, tegenwoordig ga ik niet meer naar heavy metal concerten. Die zijn zo waanzinnig luid. Mijn oren kunnen dat niet meer aan."
Albert: Oh, these days I don't go to heavy metal concerts anymore. They are so insanely loud. My ears can't take that anymore.
Eric: "Haha, je hebt gelijk. Ik ben ooit naar een W.A.S.P. concert geweest en twee dagen later deden mijn oren nog steeds pijn."
Eric: Haha, yes you are right. I was to a W.A.S.P. concert once and two days later my ears were still ringing.
Albert: "Precies. Hetzelfde als met nachtclubs. Ik heb nog steeds tinnitus van een bezoek van 15 jaar geleden."
Albert: Exactly. Same problem with nightclubs. I still have tinnitus from a visit 15 years ago.
Eric: "Dus tinnitus kan blijvend worden?"
Eric: So the tinnitus can become permanent?
Albert: "Ja, zeker als je te laat naar een dokter gaat, zoals ik. Normaal moet je naar een dokter gaan als het oorsuizen niet verdwijnt na 3 dagen!"
Albert: Yes, especially if you go to the doctor too late like me. Normally you should go to the doctor if the ear ringing doesn't disappear after 3 days!
