No need to thank!

Een driejarig kind zegt tegen zijn vader: "Tante heeft me een ijsje gegeven."

A three year old kid says to his father: "My auntie gave me some ice cream"

De vader zegt: "Heb je dankjewel gezegd?"

The father says: "Did you say thank you?"

Het kind bloost en zegt: "Oh, ben ik vergeten."

The kid blushes and says: "Oh, I forgot."

"Ga onmiddellijk terug en zeg dankjewel!"

"Then immediately go and say thank you!"

Vijf minuten later komt het kind terug.

Five minutes later the kid comes back.

"Heb je dankjewel gezegd?"

"Did you say thank you?"

"Ja. Maar het was niet nodig!"

"I did. But it wasn't necessary!"

"Waarom niet?"

"Why is that?"

"Ze zei: Niet nodig te bedanken!"

"She said: No need to thank!"
