Breaking Up
Justin: "Hallo Tanja. Kan ik met je praten?"
Justin: Hi Tanja. Can I talk to you?
Tanja: "Ja. Wat is er?"
Tanja: Yes. What's up?
Justin: "We zien elkaar nu al een tijdje en ik vind je erg aardig, maar ..."
Justin: We've been seeing each other for a while now and I like you a lot, but ...
Tanja: "Maar ...?"
Tanja: But ...?
Justin: "Het spijt me maar we moeten elkaar maar niet meer zien."
Justin: I'm sorry but we need to stop seeing each other.
Tanja: "Oh, heb je iemand anders?"
Tanja: Oh, is there somebody else?
Justin: "Eh.. nee, helemaal niet. Ik heb het alleen heel erg druk met werk."
Justin: Er.. no, not at all. I'm just very busy with work.
Tanja: "Ik begrijp het. Als je er zo over denkt kan ik beter gaan, Tot ziens!"
Tanja: I see. Well, if you feel that way I'd better go. Bye!
Justin: "Tot ziens!"
Justin: Bye!
(Justin haalt opgelucht adem.)
(Justin breathes a sigh of relief.)
Justin: "Hallo Tanja. Kan ik met je praten?"
Justin: Hi Tanja. Can I talk to you?
Tanja: "Ja. Wat is er?"
Tanja: Yes. What's up?

Tanja: "Maar ...?"
Tanja: But ...?
