In Dutch we have three articles: een, het, de

Indefinite article

The indefinite article is: een

It means roughly the same as the English 'a' or 'an'.

Example:

Ik wil een nieuwe jas kopen. (I want to buy a new coat)
Ik heb een nieuwe fiets nodig. (I need a new bicycle)

Definite articles

The definite articles are: het, de
