Feminine nouns

There are three genders in the Russian language: masculine, feminine, and neuter (neutral).

If there is "а" or "я" at the end of the noun, it is feminine.


Examples of feminine nouns:

лиственница (larch) (ends with а)
драма (drama) (ends with а)
индюшка (turkey) (ends with а)
конструкция (structure) (ends with я)
профессия (occupation) (ends with я)
