Nina: Oi Peter! Eu estou bem, muito obrigado! E você? Não tenho te visto ultimamente. Está tudo bem?

Nina: Hello Peter! I'm okay, thank you! What about you? Haven't seen you lately. Is everything all right?

Peter: Bem, está tudo bem agora, mas passei por uma cirurgia no mês passado e tive que ficar em casa duas semanas após a cirurgia.

Peter: Well, it is all right now, but I had surgery last month and had to stay home for a couple of weeks after that.

Nina: Ah, o que aconteceu?

Nina: Oh, what happened?

Peter: Eu tive apendicite.

Peter: I had appendicitis.

Nina: Doeu muito?

Nina: Were you in pain?

---

Peter: Sim, nunca tinha sentido tanta dor na vida.

Peter: Yes, I've never had such intense pain in my life.

Nina: Eu pensei que apendicite acontecesse com as pessoas mais jovens.

Nina: I thought appendicitis happens to younger people.

Peter: Você está certa, não é comum na minha idade.

Peter: You are right, it does not happen often at my age.
