## What's New: Themes, Previews, and Practising Your Newest Words
Several updates have landed this week — two new colour themes, a way to preview them before committing, a feature suggested by a member, and an overdue improvement to Autoplay Mode.
### Two new themes
**Peat & Bracken** is a Highland-inspired palette built around four earth tones: bracken, moss, heather and lichen. These aren't purely decorative — each tone does a job, colour-coding different parts of the interface so it's clear at a glance what you're looking at. It's a warmer, more muted look than most of what's currently on offer, and it holds up well in a dim room.
**Verdigris** is a sibling to Celestial Atlas. If that one suits you, this should feel familiar: same structure, cooler and greener in tone.
Both are available under Theme Settings.
### Preview before you switch
Choosing a theme from a row of swatches has always involved some guesswork. A palette that looks appealing in the abstract can be a different story once it's wrapped around a page of your own vocabulary.
Theme Settings will now render a real page in the theme you're considering, using your own content. Your words, your sentences, your actual layout — all before you commit to anything. Try a few, see which one works, then switch.
### Practise your most recently added words
This came from a member suggestion, and it's the kind of idea that seems obvious in hindsight.
Normally your words come up when the review schedule decides they should. That's the right default — spaced repetition works because it makes you wait. But there's one moment where waiting isn't ideal: right after a reading session, when you've just added a handful of new words and can still remember the sentence you found each one in. That context fades fast. Running through them straight away, while the memory of where they came from is still fresh, gives each word something to hang on.
It's also useful if your word list has grown larger than you'd like and you want to get your newest additions under control without wading through everything else.
The feature is in **List Overview** — click **AWL** at the top right.
The same thing can be added for sentences if there's enough interest.
### Autoplay Mode remembers your settings
A small change, but one that's been quietly annoying for a while: Autoplay Mode now remembers how it was configured last time. Set your speed, repetitions and the rest once, and they'll be waiting next time.
Autoplay Mode lives in the menu under **Main Links**. And if you have trouble falling asleep, try it with **Sleep Mode** — vocabulary drifting past in the dark turns out to be remarkably effective at quietening the brain. Highly recommended.
