Can anyone tell me how to type a stress mark over a letter please. |

On Mac you would just hold down the key for a while and you'll be given the options. At least for German, should be the same for Greek. |

Thank you for replying. I don't have Mac. I have windows XP and as an English keypad, have brought up the on screen keyboard so as to switch from English to Greek. It does not seem to work to make stress mark..... |

Not sure about XP, maybe the newer Windows version offer a function to do this. |

Got answer from you tube....on Greek windows keyboard look for the GREEK letter λ and the key to the right of it is what you need. type that and then the letter you want the stress mark over. I thought I would write the answer to help others. Thanks for trying to help. |

I hesitate to tell you: it would be bad for your heart. |

Using Portuguese keyboard press the last key in the second row next the [Enter] then type the letter you want to hold the accent. |

That's nice, Frank, but what about those of us who don't live in Macao? |

Either you have Windows or Ubuntu, either you live in Macau or Mexico or Minnesota or Mongolia -- there is a drop down menu with 2-letters country codes on the top or on the bottom line of the screen on its right side. You can somewhere set the appearing abbreviations depending on the operation system.
My menu is: "hu, en, ru, es, pt". I never select "en"="English keyboard". I write English texts with the Hungarian keyboard. I use "es"="Spanish keyboard only to type Ñ,ñ, ¿ and ¡ characters. The German Ä ä and ß characters are available on the Hungarian keyboard hitting [Alt Gr] simultaneously with [A] and the second key right from [L], respectively. |
