Andrew comes home from work.

Andrew: Hello!
Andrew: Hallo!
Jackie: Hello darling. How are you?
Jackie: Hallo Schatz. Wie geht's?
Andrew: Exhausted.
Andrew: Erschöpft.
Jackie: Do you still remember Emmy?
Jackie: Erinnerst du dich noch an Emmy?
Andrew: Emmy? Oh, yes. I haven't talked to her for ages.
Andrew: Emmy? Oh, ja. Ich habe schon ewig nicht mehr mit ihr gesprochen.
Jackie: Well, I found her through the Internet.
Jackie: Ich habe sie über das Internet gefunden.
Andrew: How is she?
Andrew: Wie geht es ihr?
Jackie: She lives now in Portugal.
Jackie: Sie lebt jetzt in Portugal.
Andrew: Portugal? Nice.
Andrew: Portugal? Nett.
Jackie: Yes. She lives very independently there. Own water and power supply.
Jackie: Sie lebt dort sehr unabhängig. Eigene Wasser- und Stromversorgung.
Andrew: I'd love to live like that!
Andrew: So würde ich auch gerne leben!
Jackie: Well, it has its risks. She said that she almost got killed in a fire.
Jackie: Naja, es ist nicht ganz ungefährlich! Sie meinte, dass sie fast in einem Feuer umgekommen ist.
Andrew: Really? What happened?
Andrew: Wirklich? Was ist passiert?
Jackie: Apparently an accident with a kerosene lamp!
Jackie: Anscheinend ein Unfall mit einer Petroleumlampe!
Andrew: My Goodness!
Andrew: Ach du lieber Himmel!
Jackie: Yes, I was shocked too.
Jackie: Ich war auch ganz schockiert.
Andrew: We should visit her in Portugal.
Andrew: Wir sollten sie in Portugal besuchen.
Jackie: Good idea!
Jackie: Gute Idee!
