Das neue Hobby
Jackie visits her parents.
Jackie besucht ihre Eltern.
Jackie: Hi Mom! How are you?
Jackie: Hallo Mama! Wie geht es dir?
Jackie's mother: I'm OK. Apart from the back pains.
Jackies Mutter: Mir geht's gut. Außer den Rückenschmerzen.
Jackie: How is Dad? Enjoying his retirement?
Jackie: Wie geht es Papa? Genießt er seinen Ruhestand?
Jackie's mother: He's fine. Since he's found out that there are many cooking videos on YouTube he's been trying out recipes all the time.
Jackie's Mutter: Es geht ihm gut. Seit er herausgefunden hat, dass es auf YouTube viele Kochvideos gibt probiert er ständig neue Rezepte aus.
Jackie: I think it's great!
Jackie: Das finde ich toll!
Jackie's mother: Well... depends. Sometimes his recipes are hardly edible!
Jackies Mutter: Naja... kommt drauf an. Manchmal sind seine Rezepte kaum genießbar!
Jackie: Haha. Is he in the kitchen now?
Jackie: Haha. Ist er gerade in der Küche?
Jackie's mother: Yes.
Jackies Mutter: Ja.
Jackie goes into the kitchen.
Jackie geht in die Küche.
Jackie: Hi Dad!
Jackie: Hallo Papa!
Jackie's father: Hi darling!
Jackies Vater: Hallo Schatz!
Jackie: What are you cooking?
Jackie: Was kochst du?
Jackie's dad: An Italian dish called "Calzone".
Jackies Vater: Ein italienisches Gericht, namens "Calzone".
Jackie: What is that?
Jackie: Was ist das?
Jackie's father: Basically a folded pizza.
Jackies Vater: Im Prinzip eine zusammengeklappte Pizza.
Jackie: I see.
Jackie: Verstehe.
Jackie's father: Can you set the table please?
Jackies Vater: Kannst du bitte den Tisch decken?
Jackie sets the table and afterwards eats together with her parents.
Jackie deckt den Tisch und danach ißt sie zusammen mit ihren Eltern.
