Peter: Hi Roman. Good to talk to you again. Wow, how long has it been? 10 years?
Peter: Hi Roman. Schön wieder mit dir zu reden. Wahnsinn, wie lange ist es her? 10 Jahre?
Roman: Peter!! Yes, it's been 10 or 11 years since we met at the school reunion.
Roman: Peter!! Ja, es sind 10 oder 11 Jahre vergangen, seit wir uns bei dem Klassentreffen gesehen haben.
Peter: So how are things? Still working as a coach at the football club?
Peter: Und wie stehen die Dinge? Arbeitest du immer noch als Trainer beim Fußballverein?
Roman: No, not really.
Roman: Nein, nicht wirklich.
Peter: But you loved to play football, no? We used to play with Rainer all the time. How is Rainer by the way?
Peter: Aber du hast so gerne Fußball gespielt, oder nicht? Wir haben immer mit Rainer gespielt. Wie geht es Rainer eigentlich?
Roman: Rainer? Oh.. don't you know what happened to him? He died in the tsunami in 2004.
Roman: Rainer? Oh.. weisst du gar nicht was ihm zugestossen ist? Er starb bei dem Tsunami im Jahre 2004.
Peter: Oh, my god. I didn't know that.
Peter: Oh, mein Gott. Das wusste ich nicht.
Roman: He went to "Kao Lak" with his wife Christine and never came back. He was my best friend.
Roman: Er ging nach "Khao Lak" mit seiner Frau Christine und kam nicht mehr zurück. Er war mein bester Freund.
Peter: So sorry to hear that. He was a nice guy!
Peter: Das tut mir echt leid. Er war ein netter Kerl!
