The birthday party

Tims forældre spiser morgenmad. Tim går ind i køkkenet.

Tims parents are having breakfast. Tim enters the kitchen.
Tims mor: Godmorgen, Tim! Det er næsten middag! Hvornår kom du tilbage fra festen?

Tim's mother: Good morning Tim! It's almost midday! When did you get back from the party?
Tim: Jeg er ikke sikker. Jeg tror, jeg var hjemme omkring kl. 2. Det var en god fest.

Tim: I'm not sure. I think I was home about 2 a.m. It was a great party.
Tims far: Da jeg var ung, da skulle man være hjemme før midnat.

Tim's father: When I was young, you had to be home before midnight.
Tim: Okay. Men tingene er anderledes nu.

Tim: Sure. But things are different now.
Tims far: Ja, det ved jeg. Havde du det sjovt?

Tim's father: Yes I know. Did you have a good time then?
Tim: Ja! Det var Johns 16 års fødselsdag. Nogle af hans venner smed ham i poolen.

Tim: Yes! It was John's 16th birthday. Some of his friends threw him into the pool there.
Tims mor: Ha ha, sjovt. Det gjorde vi også, da vi var på din alder!

Tim's mother: Haha, funny. We did that too when we were your age!
Tim: John synes ikke, det var sjovt. Han havde sin mobiltelefon i bukselommen.

Tim: John didn't think it was funny. He had his mobile phone in his trouser pocket.
Tims mor: Åh, gik telefonen i stykker?

Tim's mother: Oh, was the phone broken?
Tim: Ja. Han var virkelig rasende!

Tim: Yes. He was really furious!
